Melvin Tan
Principal of The DanceSport Academy and Singapore's 13-times undefeated DanceSport champions, Melvin Tan started dancing at the tender age of 9 and was the youngest DanceSport Athlete to have represented Singapore in the various Championships.
Together with his partner Sharon, Melvin has represented Singapore in all major International DanceSport Championships. In addition, they have traveled to Latvia, Slovakia, Australia, Germany, China, Russia, Italy and many other countries for training and national representation.
Sharon Tan
Principal of The DanceSport Academy and Singapore's 13-times undefeated DanceSport champions, Sharon Tan started dancing back at her University days at the National University of Singapore. Together with her partner Melvin, Sharon has represented Singapore to the 2nd Asian Indoor Games 2007 held in Macau, China and the 24th SEA Games 2007 held in Thailand and emerged 4th amongst other Southeast Asian powerhouses.
With enormous passion for dance, Melvin & Sharon wanted most to impart dance education and contribute to the development of the DanceSport scene in Singapore. Melvin and Sharon had emerged as the chosen Dance Coaches for Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2003, and we are really glad to have them!

Mr Andrew Choo
Staff Advisor
Staff Advisor of Ngee Ann Dancesport Club, Mr Andrew Choo is one of the SDAR (Student Development & Alumni Relations) staff in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Being passionate in his work, Mr Choo works hard to keep our members protected in a safe environment, ensuring that we can enjoy our dance lessons, outings, competitions and annual bonding camps without fail.
Placing much emphasize on character development, Mr Choo takes care to groom our dances and our committee members. He goes the extra mile to help, and makes sure that the club is being managed properly. Through his guidance, we felt that we have grown a lot in terms of character, and being able to work in a team, to manage a club. Despite being a fun, cheerful, friendly and easy-going man, Mr Choo gets serious when he needs to be. It is also his forte to get his work done in a proper and efficient manner - this is why we look up to him as role model!
Ngee Ann Dancesport Club is extremely glad to be managed by Mr Choo, as we believe that he is the only one that can give us the best learning experience, throughout the 3 years that we would spend in NP!
